Each season, Chicago Rec Sports aims to provide resources and financial support to those in need. The number of scholarships available and the amounts of each scholarship vary from season to season. Applications for our 2025 Winter season are open.
This scholarship allows a parent to become a CRS Volunteer Coach for a season in exchange for a child of their choice, age two to thirteen to play for the season at no cost.
Scholarship requires:
Parent Coach to complete CRS Training and Screening
Parent Coach will be on time and attend all practicing games
Parent Coach will follow CRS curriculum
Parent will wear CRS Coach shirt to all practicing games (shirt provided)
Parent Coach will attend end of season Participation Awards
This scholarship allows a child from age five to thirteen to participate in a full week of SPF Day Camp during the summer or holiday breaks. Camp fosters a strong self-identity, individual expression, teamwork, and genuine respect for others.
This scholarship is a yearlong program that allows a teen from age fourteen to nineteen to develop life
and leadership skills through mentorships and training. Teens develop work etiquette in addition to
social and emotional learning which prepares them for college and future opportunities.
